Automatic Camouflage Door
Exhibited at ARCH:ID 2026 — a rotating panel wall built for Deka Sistemi.
Project Overview
This custom architectural system uses a series of vertical panels mounted on a motorized rotation mechanism. When closed, the panels align flush to form a seamless decorative wall with backlit stone-pattern surfaces and integrated ceiling lighting. With the press of a button, each panel rotates in unison to reveal a concealed entrance behind.
BantuProduksi delivered the full stack — mechanical design, electronics and PCB development, prototype fabrication, CNC panel production, and workshop assembly — taking the project from 3D concept through a working physical prototype ready for site installation. The system was developed for Deka Sistemi, a distributor of premium architectural hardware including SUGATSUNE, SALICE, TERNO, FORMANI, KAWAJUN, and TOSTEM.
Exhibited at ARCH:ID 2026
The prototype was showcased at ARCH:ID, Indonesia's premier annual architecture forum and trade event, co-organized by the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI) and PT CIS Exhibition. The 2026 edition ran April 23–26, 2026, bringing together architects, designers, and industry partners from across the region.

How It Works
- Camouflaged state — vertical panels sit edge-to-edge, forming an uninterrupted glowing wall with no visible door frame
- Automatic rotation — synchronized motors pivot each panel on its center axis, creating narrow slits that widen into a full opening
- Open state — panels rotate ~90° into a louver configuration, allowing free passage into the hidden interior space
- Integrated lighting — recessed ceiling and panel-edge LEDs maintain the luxury aesthetic in every position
Electronics & Control System
Beyond the mechanical structure, we designed and fabricated the control electronics in-house — including a custom PCB that drives the stepper motor, reads limit switches and motion sensors, and manages synchronized panel rotation. The board was laid out, prototyped, and assembled as part of the same integrated build process.
- Motor control — stepper driver with direction and pulse outputs
- Limit switches — panel position feedback for safe open/close limits
- Motion sensors — dual sensor inputs for presence and movement detection
- Power management — regulated 5V supply for control logic and peripherals
